Fuzz + OD
The ION is a dual-channel gain pedal that stacks a one-knob fuzz into a King of Tone-style overdrive. The fuzz side uses NOS BC183 silicon transistors tuned for vintage germanium response. The overdrive side uses the JRC4580DD op amp with NOS 1N34A germanium diodes alongside the silicon clipping diodes for extended headroom and smoother breakup. Both circuits respond dynamically to your guitar's volume knob.

Fuzz Side
The fuzz side is a modified silicon Fuzz Face circuit built with NOS BC183 transistors, carefully tuned to behave like a vintage germanium unit. It responds dynamically to your guitar's volume knob, cleaning up naturally as you roll it back.
Overdrive Side
The overdrive side is a Bluesbreaker-style circuit powered by a JRC4580DD op amp, the low-noise version of the same chip found in the King of Tone. It features NOS 1N34A germanium clipping diodes alongside the original silicon diodes, increasing headroom and softening the clipping edge for smoother, more amp-like breakup.
Combined Performance
The two circuits are designed to work together as a foundational gain stage. The overdrive complements the fuzz by restoring the low frequencies and body that are typically lost when rolling back a Fuzz Face circuit. This ensures your tone remains thick and present, even when cleaning up the signal with your guitar's volume knob. The combined circuit is highly touch-sensitive, allowing you to use the overdrive to push the fuzz for greater mid-range presence and clarity in a mix. This dynamic, robust performance makes the ION an ideal, always-on gain pedal.
9V-18V Support
The ION runs on 9V-18V DC. At 18V, the overdrive gains more headroom, clarity, and volume. The fuzz gets rawer with more bite. 9V is fuller. Both sound great.

NOS BC183 Transistors
A "holy grail" silicon transistor that bridges the gap between the warmth of germanium and the stability of silicon. Often described as the "softest" sounding silicon, it provides smoother, more "violin-like" sustain. The same transistor type found in the legendary Fuzz Face circuit.
NOS 1N34A Germanium Diodes
Gold-bonded ITT germanium diodes, famously used in the original Klon Centaur. The gold bonding provides superior consistency and longevity. Soft clipping and low forward voltage deliver warm, musical overdrive with rich harmonics.
JRC4580DD Op Amp
The low-noise variant of the JRC4580D famously used in the King of Tone. This op amp delivers the same warm mids and smooth clipping with enhanced clarity and reduced background noise.

International Customers: Our 1-year manufacturer warranty is only valid for domestic US customers. For international customers, we provide technical support and can ship replacement parts at cost, but we do not cover international shipping for repairs.
Returns & Shipping
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be in like-new condition with all original packaging. A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply for pedals that show wear or are incomplete.
